Expansion - First decade, first leaps
Around 1975, the network expanded outside of Colorado when Dennis Curtin bought a franchise in Kansas City. Two years later, in 1977, it went international, with the first Canadian brokerage in Calgary, Alberta, under the franchise started by Frank Polzler and Walter Schneider.
In 1978, RE/MAX added its 100th office and 1,000 agents, where the hot air balloon became the company's official corporate logo. Then it began a series of expansions and evolutions of the project, progressing day by day, opening doors and overcoming almost impossible obstacles for common real estate networks, something that RE/MAX ceased to be since its birth.
